Cliff Lander was born in Boston, raised and schooled in Boston, and still lives pretty close to Boston. In high school, he got a job delivering sandwiches and Chinese food to poker players at a club in his neighborhood, but had to quit when his father found out the envelopes with the sandwich money contained 'numbers.' ;
